My Story
How did I end up here?
Early Years
I was born and raised in North Wales in the UK way back in the 1980’s.
Unfortunately my mother had endured an awful upbringing with an abusive and alcoholic father who was pretty “handy” with his wife and my mum.
I mention this as it’s my opinion that this was the reason she wanted to try and create a safe bubble in which to bring up her own family and therefore ensure that history didn’t repeat itself.
She was on the lookout for a solution.
She married, bought a house and had 2 children. (I was the youngest)
Around the time I was about 7 years old my mum started talking to a neighbour who was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and eventually she started a bible study…
it starts
This is when the changes started, firstly my toy guns and water pistols disappeared, we stopped celebrating Christmas and birthdays, went along to the Kingdom Hall multiple times a week for meetings and met “new” friends who we were encouraged to play with.
This was the start of the social isolation.
